SUPERVISOR: BUILDING PRINCIPAL

 

LOCATION: ASSIGNED BY SUPERINTENDENT OR DESIGNEE

 

Experience working with a variety of students educationally and behaviorally needed. Responsbilities will entail working with staff and students in a multiitude of roles including but not limited: assisting students in the classroom, assisting with various building activities, supporting students in multiple settings, supervisory of students and assisting staff in various duties.

 

JOB OBJECTIVE

• Assume the responsibility for supervising and assisting students

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Be able-bodied, of good moral character, and adaptable to working around students who may have learning disabilities or physical handicaps, or both
• Student Pupil Permit
• BCI/FBI Background Check

JOB LOCATION

• High School, Middle School, and Elementary schools as assigned by the Superintendent

EQUIPMENT UTILIZED

• Be able to learn the use and care of special devices for handicapped as required on a case by case basis

JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Essential

• Assist and supervise the students in their movement from activity to activity
• Assist the students with their restroom needs
• Assist with the implementation of their physical education program
• Supervise and assist with learning activities
• Assist with fine and gross-motor activities
• Provide individual attention when needed
• Assist with the modification of teaching equipment and materials when needed
• Attend, assist and supervise students on field trips
• Assist students as necessary and appropriate in emergency situations 
• Such other duties as may be assigned by the building principal
